qathet Community Action Team (“qCAT”, “we”, “us” “our”) upholds and respects the privacy of anyone who engages with us through our website. This Statement provides an overview of personal information that may be collected when you visit our website, how the information is used, and how you can control the collection, correction and/or deletion of your personal information.

qCAT only has access to and/or collects information that visitors to our website voluntarily provide via email, text, form submission, or by other direct means (ie: mail, event registration, etc.). qCAT does not and will never use or share your personal information in any way other than as described in this Privacy Statement.

Basic Internet Analytics

When you visit qCAT’s website, software (ie: Google Analytics) may automatically collect some information such as the URL site from which you linked to our site, your Internet Service Provider, and the time and date of your visit. These forms of aggregated demographic information are not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.

 

Cookies

We use cookies. Cookies are small pieces of data stored on your computer that allow your web browser to remember something about our website. However, no cookie retains any information that personally identifies you. Using cookies allows us to provide additional features and functionality for our website visitors.

qCAT’s website may contain links to other sites, payment portals and/or social media platforms; however, we cannot be responsible for and we do not have any control over the content, privacy policies and/or practices of any third-party sites.

Firewalls may be used to ensure the security of your personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access. qCAT undertakes every possible measure to keep all the information we receive secure, and protect personal information from unauthorized access and use.

 

However, qCAT cannot ensure or warrant the security of any personally identifiable information transmitted online, or guarantee that such information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by breach of any of qCAT’s physical, technical or administrative safeguards. Visitor’s privacy settings may be affected by changes to the functionality of third-party providers (ie: social networks). qCAT cannot be and is not responsible for the functionality or security measure of any third-party.

 

Collection of Information

qCAT does not and will never collect personally identifiable information from visitors to our website unless the information is voluntarily and knowingly provided. qCAT may retain the content of any email or other messages sent to us, and the content of our responses to those messages. qCAT may also retain any messages or content posted onto our website by visitors. 

If you correspond with qCAT through our website directly through form submission, by email or other form of online messaging, we may retain the content of your message(s) to us, your email address, username information or any other information you provided, and our response(s) to you. 

If you donate or purchase event tickets through qCAT’s website or an event registration platform (ie: Eventbrite), you may be asked to provide additional information, including if warranted personal and financial information required to process applicable transactions. qCAT stores this information securely; the information you provide will never be shared or traded with another organization or any other third-party except as described in this Statement.

Exceptions

qCAT only has access to and/or collects information that visitors to our website voluntarily provide via email, form submission, or by other direct means (ie: mail, event registration, etc.). qCAT does not and will never use or share your personal information in any way other than as described in this Privacy Statement.

Except as described in this Statement, qCAT does not and will never use or share your personal information with any third-party unless required to do so by law or subpoena, and/or if we believe that such action is necessary for qCAT:

  • to report the disclosed or suspected abuse or exploitation of anyone under the age of 19; or report that someone of any age is at risk of harming themselves or others;

  • to conform to the law; comply with legal process(es) served on qCAT, the communities we serve, our affiliates or others

  • to enforce the policies outlined in this Statement;

  • to take precautions against liability;

  • to defend qCAT, the communities we serve and/or our affiliates against third-party claims or allegations;

  • to exercise or protect the rights, property or personal safety of qCAT, the communities we serve, our affiliates or others.

Anyone who has submitted information to qCAT via our website or an online platform can correct, update or delete any personal or profile information by modifying personal profile settings

Any changes to the policies outlined in this Statement will be included and described immediately upon their coming into effect.
