Diverse Perspectives, Shared Goals

qCAT's membership brings together First Nations communities, municipal and provincial health and medical representatives, front-line community agencies, and people with lived experience.

qCAT's strong representation of diverse perspectives and knowledge drives robust collaborations and strategies to effectively meet unique, regional needs in communities throughout the qathet region.

qCAT's innovative, localized initiatives to increase safety, reduce harm and prevent toxic drug deaths have established qathet as B.C.'s leader in harm reduction services for rural populations.

Centered and prioritized in all of qCAT's work are the lived experiences and wisdoms of people directly harmed by drug use stigma, as well as people whose lives have been altered by the toxic drug crisis.  Their expertise underpins all the collaborative strategies qCAT implements to effectively reduce stigma, increase safety and prevent toxic drug deaths in all communities' throughout the qathet region.

We acknowledge with gratitude our place on the ancestral and traditional territories of the Tla’amin and shíshálh Nations.  We stand in solidarity with the Tla’amin and shíshálh Peoples, and our shared commitment to effective overdose responses, awareness and prevention throughout all communities within the qathet Regional District.
